The Stinking Rose may be the best Italian restaurant in San Francisco!

As a long-time visitor to various different clubs in the North Beach area in San Francisco, I would have to say that The Stinking Rose is one of the best Italian restaurants I have tried.

Regardless of the fact that some of the hookers like to hang out with the waiters at this restaurant, it’s a classy place that serves authentic Italian food.

classy? good italian? you’re way off here. it’s overly salted, americanized italian, and seriously overpriced. i think if i were 18 and never eaten good italian food before, or if i wanted to feel like a tourist, i might like it.

You definitley are a visitor…… Just up the street there are some of the best Italian joints in SF. Franchinno’s, North Beach Resteraunt, even the corner pizza places are better than the rose. All that garlic is to cover up the taste of the food…. bleh
