How to Party in San Francisco during New Year’s 2009!
Well, as a former serial San Francisco New Years Partier, I can tell you the hot spots where to go to have the most fun this New Year’s eve.
Here’s a list of recommended New Year’s Parties:
Field of Dreams New Years Eve 2009 @ AT&T Park - Although I haven’t been to this one, it does look promising if you are into watching the Fireworks by the bay. A word of warning though, sound in a ball park doesn’t sound all that great, you are in for some crappy grooves here but great views of the Fireworks.
CrawlSF - This one seems okay, as overpriced as most New Year’s event are, you are taking a chance here.
Well, I won’t bore you with each and individual ones, you can check out bunch of these lists for yourself:
ClubZen has a good list of parties in San Francisco. (and L.A. too)
SFStation has a good list of parties too although I don’t really recommend some of the places listed there. (Suede and CatClub might be good choices)
ClubZone has a bunch more New Year’s parties.
Again, if you want to have a good night out with your friends, you might be better off attending less-crowded bars and clubs. (although most places will be filled with crazy and naughty people)
Of course, New Years is probably the most expensive night of the year. Don’t intend on walking into a bar without a minimum pay of $40-50. If you are gonna go, get your tickets in advance and choose a good event first.
Most of these party promoters make most of their revenue during New Years so just watch out for weird scams where you pay a lot for nothing.
I will be skipping this year as for clubbing, I simply find that it’s not worth your money unless all of your friends are single and getting together in San Francisco.
Happy New Years!
Don’t drive drunk too, there should me more than enough cops to pull you over and happy to give you a DUI and a night in SF Jail.
