The best place to park at Ocean Beach during a busy summer day is on the Great Highway, where you can access the “non-busy” part of Ocean Beach.
Well, I took the liberty of taking some colorful pictures of the unique little houses on the Great Highway on our way back from the Beach Trip. Btw, if you have 2 or 3 story house, you get a very nice ocean view.
But don’t let the size full you, each of these houses are probably more than $1-2 million if you wanted to buy one.
Well, the other day was the hottest day in San Francisco with temperature reaching up to 94 degrees fahrenheit.
One thing about weather in San Francisco is that it can suddenly go from 94 degrees to 70 degrees in matter of minutes like it did today. The fog came over Sunset district in matter of minutes and the temperature just dropped like that.
I am glad I did go take my tent to the Ocean Beach the other day though, proud to say that I was the only person with a “real” tent. It tooks me about 10 minutes to set it up since I haven’t used tents in like 10 years.
Here’s some shots of Ocean Beach you can enjoy. It was very beautiful and unreal as the ocean mist (as you can see in the pics) covered the whole beach.
These are times I love living in San Franciso. I took a nice 2 hour nap while hearing the ocean waves, of course in my nice cozy tent.
Well, for those of you not living in SF (or those of you who never get out of your small apartment), I took the liberty of providing you with a 360 degree video of Ocean Beach!
Here’s how to relax and get a free “sand massage” on Ocean Beach.
The thing people don’t realize about Ocean Beach is that the sand gets super “HOT” whenever there’s sun. You can actually take all your clothes off and ly there and still feel hot when the air is only at 70 degrees fahrenheit due to the temperature of the sand.
How to relax and get a free “sand massage”?
1. Go to Ocean Beach on a sunny San Francisco day. Take Muni, ride a bike, motorcycle, or just drive there. (Like me…smart huh?)
2. Lay down in your comfortable clothes. (Lay down about 50 yards from the actual ocean… find a quiet spot on the beach)
3. Wear a baseball hat. (Actually, use it to block the sun.)
4. Apply sun block. (I prefer non-allergenic ones like Bull-Frog is good.)
5. Relax and try to hear the sound of the waves.
The thing about Ocean Beach, is that although your body will heat up due to the high temperatures of the sand, you will feel the ocean breeze at your nose-tips cooling you down.
Basically, your back heats up while your body heat is absorbed by the ocean wind. Which is the best thing about San Fran in general… (The best days I feel is the sunny day with slight wind, flirting at you of course…)
I was at Ocean Beach the other day and found this big giant starfish that people have been using it as a fire place. Cool…huh? You should be able to find it next time you want to start a bonfire.
Do you want to get a great photo shot of the Golden Gate Bridge next time you are in San Francisco? Check out Baker Beach, a quite beach with plenty space to take awesome pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge.
