Why San Francisco Needs Health Care for Uninsured!
Recently, Obama’s lawyers filed for rejection of appeal for San Francisco’s health care law, which helps free health care for uninsured adults not covered by Medical.
I am all for having free health care for the uninsured in San Francisco because personally, I have used it.
Let me tell you what happened. Couple years back, I lost my job, I was about $50,000 in credit card debit, and I had food poisoning. I went to the emergency room at SFU Medical Center and got like 20 vicodin pills. Couple months later, I got a HUGE bill for like $5000. Can you believe it? I paid $5000 for 20 vicodin-pills.
Couple months after that, I found that city of San Francisco actually has “free” health care through Yelp.
If I knew this before, I would have saved about $5,000 in medical bills, which would have helped me a lot.
I think this is needed for a city like San Francisco, a lot of people are losing their jobs right now, it’s one thing that can help you get through the tough times.
Just think about this, if you lost your job and your house right now, would you want free health care at the least to help you out?
I know I would, I’ve been there, done that, thankful to city of San Francisco to have such a program. Although I would probably never use it again, I know how useful it is for people who are just tryin’ to make it/survive in this economy.
Government lawyers filed arguments Friday urging the Supreme Court to reject an appeal by San Francisco restaurant owners who oppose paying part of the $200 million annual cost. They say the case doesn’t present any pressing issues that require the high court’s review.
