Raffle for a Dream House in Noe Valley, San Francisco!

David Perry just alerted me on raffle the city’s 2nd Annual Yerba Buena Center for the Arts “Dream House Raffle”.

Basically each raffle ticket is $150 and odds of winning something (even if not the house itself) is 100 to 1. Not bad odds at all when you consider you can have a chance of winning your dream home.

This is the definition of a ‘win win,” says Kenneth J. Foster, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Executive Director. “Last year’s raffle raised more than a million dollars to support the world-class art and artists for which Yerba Buena Center has become internationally known. And, of course, one lucky person walked away a lot happier and richer.”

This year’s luxurious “Dream House” – located in the upscale Noe Valley neighborhood of San Francisco – is valued at $3 million. A $150 raffle ticket buys a chance to win the 3,000 square foot Arts and Crafts home. The Grand Prize winner chooses either the Dream House or $1.5 million in cash. Close to 400 other prizes are also available, guaranteeing that every ticket buyers has a 1 in 100 chance of winning a prize.

You can buy raffle tickets on March 3rd, in just 4 days at SFRaffle.com.

I think I will buy a ticket myself, I don’t have a house yet and our family needs one.

Psst…the house is on Alvarado if you want to catch a peek up close of the San Francisco Dream House. As you’ve pointed out, the odds are pretty good for the YBCA raffle…and the goods are really good. Who wouldn’t want to win a car or a vacation or house or just some plain cash? If you buy more than one ticket, you’re automatically entered into the multiple-ticket drawings, so you increase your odds not just in the grand prize drawing but in the other ones as well. Sweet.
